TASTING NOTES
The 2005 Vintage will go down in history as the "abundant one", but also a vintage of very well balanced wines with more finesse than powers and lower alcohols. This vintage required a bit more new oak barrels and 7% more Petite Sirah than the 2004 vintage. The 2005 is another classic Zin reflecting the mild growing conditions. The nose is loaded with blackberry and ripe plums, Bing cherries and currants. Further aeration reveals roasted coffee and hints of cocoa layers on top of ripe and warm fruit aromas. The mouth feel is simply delicious!
